Evangelist Yared Tilahun, who is known for his spiritual teachings, served the Lord for many years in Addis Ababa Full Gospel Believers Churches, which are located in urban and rural parts of the Country.

Thereafter, to reveal the grace the Lord provided him for the body of Christ in the areas of teaching to all Ethiopian churches, he established Golden Oil Ministries in March 26, 1998 in Addis Ababa.

Since the establishment of the ministry, with the help of board of directors, advisory board members, partners and collaborators, the ministry has been devoted trying to find the will of God for this time through different studies and researches.

Based on the findings of the studies, the first training center was opened in Addis Ababa, near Haya Hulet Mazoria.

The training which focuses on ministers of the Gospel who are not able to join a seminary, was successful to give them a short term intensive training, balancing on biblical teachings, character and practical ministries. Within a span of three years, more than 200 ministers from inside the country and abroad have been trained and graduated.

In addition to the training center, distance learning program was also established to serve those who can’t join the training center due to geographical location and busy work schedule. Right now the Golden Oil Correspondence Program is serving Ethiopians in fifteen local cities and eight countries worldwide.

On top of these, Yared Tilahun is devoting his time on writing books which are relevant and soaked with biblical truths.

The traveling ministry has taken yared almost to all the regions of Ethiopia and to more than 103 cities worldwide.

Golden Oil Ministries is an associate member of EECF (Ethiopian Evangelical Churches Fellowship) and member of EECF/NA (Ethiopian Evangelical Christians Fellowship in North America) Moreover Golden Oil Ministries is registered as a non-profit organization both in Ethiopia and United States of America.
